For some women, wearing a bra while sleeping is not advisable, as it makes them feel constricted, creates marks on the body, and might clog the lymph nodes, thereby raising the risk of developing breast cancer. Conversely, other women claim that wearing a bra at all times prevents breasts from sagging.
Which of These Claims are True?
Experts point out that all these claims are just myths. Medically speaking, the lymph nodes’ function in the underarms is to naturally filter, or drain the lymph fluid from the breast, as well as to safeguard the system from infections, malignant cells, and foreign substances.
There’s no scientific proof that wearing bra during sleep blocks the lymph nodes’ pathways, and hence, this practice won’t raise the risk of breast cancer.
